Cotton T-Shirt Buying Guide: Fabric Weight, Fit and Surface Detail

A T-shirt may be the simplest product in a clothing range, but it is also one of the easiest to misread from photos alone. Two shirts can share the same basic shape and still differ in weight, drape, fit and finishing. Our current T-shirt selection includes solid-color basics, embroidered graphics, embossed lettering, rhinestone work and oversized streetwear prints. Here is how we separate those details when reviewing a style.

Fabric weight changes the character of a T-shirt

The cotton tops on the site sit mainly between 220 and 300 gsm. The classic polo is listed at 220–230 gsm. Several men's crew-neck and embossed styles use 230–260 gsm fabric. The heavier graphic, solid-color and VALE streetwear tees are listed at 280–300 gsm.

A higher number usually gives the fabric a more substantial hand, but it does not automatically make one shirt better than another. A lighter polo can suit a neat smart-casual look, while a heavier oversized tee may hold a boxier shape. The right choice depends on the intended fit and season, not on chasing the largest number.

Read the fit before choosing the size range

Our catalog uses several fit directions. The unisex graphic and solid-color tees have a relaxed shape. The women's rhinestone styles are shorter and more fitted. The high-street women's graphic tee is deliberately oversized, while the men's cotton crew-neck style is positioned as a roomier plus-size option.

This is why a size label should never be reviewed on its own. Check garment length first, then shoulder and chest. On a cropped T-shirt, a small change in length is visually important. On an oversized tee, shoulder width and chest create most of the intended silhouette.

Surface detail affects both styling and handling

Embroidery

The Sanskrit cross T-shirt uses embroidery rather than a flat print. Embroidery adds texture and can make a graphic feel more substantial, but buyers should still inspect stitch density, the reverse side of the design and how the fabric sits around the embroidered area.

Embossed relief

The men's embossed T-shirt uses a raised surface effect. From a distance it can look understated; up close, the relief becomes the main detail. This type of design works well when the assortment needs interest without a large multicolor print.

Rhinestones

The women's rhinestone tees are more decorative and visually stronger. One style is waist-defining and cropped, while the other uses denser rhinestone graphics on a short-sleeve cotton base. For this kind of product, a sample review should include the placement, consistency and flexibility of the decorated area.

Printed graphics

Graphic tees offer the widest visual range. Our product photography shows assorted artwork and colors, so buyers should confirm which design and color combinations are available for the intended order rather than assuming every photographed variation is included in every size.

Build a T-shirt range with contrast

A balanced T-shirt order does not need every style to compete for attention. Solid-color tees and classic polos give customers an easy starting point. One embroidered or embossed style adds texture. Oversized graphics cover streetwear demand, while fitted rhinestone tops address a more fashion-led women's customer.

  • Use clean colors and familiar fits as the base of the range.
  • Add graphic styles in a controlled number of themes.
  • Keep fitted and oversized products clearly separated in product copy.
  • Confirm measurements by style instead of applying one size assumption to every tee.

What to confirm before ordering

For each T-shirt, record the fiber content, fabric weight, fit direction, size measurements and surface technique. If the photos show multiple colors or graphics, list the exact combinations required. This creates a cleaner buying record and gives both sides the same reference when stock or repeat orders are discussed.
